Custom Shirts
I took three weeks away from my workshop in early summer 2020, and decided to take this time to teach myself to stitch shirts. I ended up making 9 shirts in total with two different styles of collars.
I’m not an expert tailor, but I love to sew and have taken some time to teach myself the basics.
Along with Dovetail jeans, Ape and Bird hats, and Blundstone boots, these shirts complete my unofficial daily uniform.

The fabric for these shirts and masks is made from printed Lungis, a traditional garment similar to a skirt or sarong worn by men in the south of India. The printed style of Lungi is specifically worn in the state of Kerala. I fell in love with these prints while living in India in 2015 and 2016.

With a global pandemic in progress, I also made matching face masks for each shirt with the fabric scraps.

Made a couple of matching curtains too, just for fun.

Lucky for my brother, Alex, we are the same size, so I didn’t have to change the pattern at all in order to make a shirt that fits him. Someone should probably buy this boy an iron though.
